On 6 April 2006, Halit Yozgat was shot dead by the NSU in his internet café at Holländische Straße 86 in Kassel. Halitplatz, which has been named after him since 2012, was built nearby. In the 16mm film bulletproof, the memorial stone is sung about in a pop song.
